How it works
One app, two sides, built around trust.
People find a verified specialist who speaks their language. Specialists reach people across the country and set their own rate. Here is what happens at each step.

1. Find
Search on your own, or take a 3-minute health check.
Filter by need, session language, audio or video, and price. Or answer a few simple questions and see the kinds of specialist who can help. You always choose who to book.
2. Book
Choose a language, a format and a time.
- English or French, audio or video, for every session
- Real available times from the specialist's calendar
- Pay by mobile money or card, with the price shown first
- Reminders that never mention mental health
3. Talk
A private session that holds up on a weak connection.
Sessions are end-to-end encrypted. Audio-first calls keep going on 3G, and the app tells you clearly if the connection drops.
Between sessions
Tracking that helps you notice.
Tracking is for people with a free account. It never scores, triages or diagnoses. It helps you and, if you agree, your specialist see patterns.
Mood, sleep and a private note, in under a minute.
Flow, period dates and symptoms, designed with our clinical lead.
See how things change over two weeks, a month or three months.
New modules such as stress and men's health, each reviewed by our clinical team.
Not a diagnosis. Your specialist sees your tracking only if you say yes when you book, and you can stop sharing at any time.

AI services
AI that supports specialists, never replaces them.
Health check matching
The health check suggests the right kind of specialist. The person always chooses who to book.
Session notes
With consent, AI drafts a SOAP or DAP note. The specialist edits and signs it, then the audio is deleted.
Homework companion
A guide walks people through exercises their specialist sets, such as thought records.
Pattern insights
Tracking patterns become gentle suggestions, using rules reviewed by our clinicians.
Every AI feature is optional and can be turned off. AI never diagnoses and never talks to someone in crisis in place of a person.
Safety
What we do about each risk.
| Risk | What Solace Care does |
|---|---|
| Unqualified providers | Three checks before listing: ID, a diploma for each type of care, and a licence to practise. Then an interview. |
| A person in crisis | Urgent help on every key screen: emergency numbers that work offline and a free on-call specialist. |
| Private conversations | Every conversation is end-to-end encrypted. |
| Health data | Built to strict health-data standards and African data protection laws, starting with Cameroon's Law No. 2024/017. |
| Shared phones | App lock, a neutral app name, and texts with no clinical words. |
| Data misuse | Tracking is shared only with consent, at booking, and can be stopped. It is never used for advertising. |
